Intermediate Acoustic Guitar Course Week 9

Revise Chord Fractions + 4 Songs!

Welcome to your first revision week in this intermediate course.

Today we revise the chord fraction exercises that we played in the first weeks.

We also look at the four songs you learned playing with a pick!

Let’s begin!

Week 9 Step 1 – 30-40 min

The chord fraction exercises are really important, you want to get to a place where you can play all these chords in an instant, without hesitation.

This can only happen if you practice these exercises as well as play songs using the concept of improvising with the different shapes.

There is no reason why you should play a song the same way twice. In fact, that will only get you bored in the long run!

Let’s go over all the chord shapes, play them in fractions along with the videos. Spend 3-4 minutes on each chord. Take note of which fractions you struggle with.

Week 9 – Step 2 – 20-40 min

The next step will take longer than the usual 30 min. Spend up to 10 minutes per song.

If you realize that you could do a lot better on one or two of these songs, practice them again tomorrow and maybe even the day after.
