Minor pentatonic Guitar Conspiracy lessonLearn how to connect the Minor Pentatonic shapes!

The video lesson show you how you can connect all 5 minor pentatonic shapes in the key of Am, there is also a video in Dm available.

In order for you to play an exercise like this you have to know each individual shape.

If you have been practicing all individual shapes using the Work Book (a part of The Spy Tunes Method), and come to the conclusion that you need to move on, then you have come the right place.

Compare this exercise to the connect chords exercise of Am and Dm shapes, it is vital that you see this connection.

In fact, to visualize the chord shape as you play the minor pentatonic should always be the case.

Connect Minor Pentatonic Shapes

This exercise is played using triplets.

Before you start practicing to a click, just play through it without any specific rhythm.

Aim to get each swap between shapes exactly as in video and in the Work Book TAB.

Notice how all notes of each shape is played but never repeated, always finishing early on the previous shape.

When you can connect all shapes, move on to the 10 remaining keys as well.

Put together in one big exercise this forms the cycle of 4ths.

When you can play this, in triplets, without mistakes at a decent tempo you are ready for the final minor pentatonic exercise, the cycle of 4ths.
