I have started planning a new instrumental acoustic guitar ebook, it’s gonna be about seriously challenging instrumental guitar by guitar players like; Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, Andy McKee and Raoul Midon.
Scotty Watson will be playing, see some testing below.
Help me build the next ebook!
The video above was a camera angle test, since the style is so focused on the fretboard I had to check some new camera angles.
What do you think?
Comment below and tell me what other than camera angles you would like in this new product from Spy Tunes.

Nice idea!
This percussive style is very hard!
Gather there basic ideas of soloing: double stops and few basic licks/riffs to learn as etudes for technique.

The camera angle above suits fine for the right hand however, the left hand fingering of the chords this angle may not work.
Your previous videos do a decent job showing the strumming and fingering of the chords.
Keep up the good work.

i think your usual format (split screen) is juuuust fine
how about kings x they have some wonderfull music, thanks guru.
I think the camera angle that was not quite face on but was a little from the right or the headstock was best.
I love Raoul Midon!!
What a terrace and ground breaking idea.
You continue to raise the bar in teaching!!
Love it.
This is wonderful. The camera angles are very good. This person great to lesson to and watch.
Amazing Skill….but I think the split screen is better for a learner like me……my opinion….
Very, very goood idea
I think it would depend on each piece you were showing. I think you will definitely need two plus angles depending on the piece.
One camera angle to focus on each hand, and an overview of how both work together (like the one shown.
In terms of angle though – if you are doing mostly tapping your camera should angle to focus on that, but if it’s percussive work on the side of the guitar it will require to a different angle.
I don’t think you should limit it, but instead see which works for each individual lesson.
Must say though that I am totally excited about you doing this and am wanting it NOW!
I think you are right, it’s gonna have to be tailored to each song/ technique
The best angles I’ve seen for guitar instruction are split-screen with one camera shooting over the shoulder for the fretboard shot and another camera in front of the guitar at a very slight angle for the strumming hand.
Good luck with your new book Guru.
